On a steep summit of the Verzasca valley, in the Swiss canton of Ticino, there is a small town of stone houses and slate roofs As a story, Corippo shows the visitor in the hope of rewriting its long history and becoming a tourist resort.
The town, witness of more than 700 years of life, step of the 315 inhabitants of the mid-nineteenth century to the current twelve, who, next to the« Fundacion Corippo 1975» ;, fight to recover one of the most charming town in Switzerland.
By the hand of Fabio Giacomazzi, architect and president of the Foundation, Corippo wants to recover 30 of the 70 buildings of the town to convert them into hotels and holiday homes.Giacomazzi ensures that this is an opportunity to offer the visitor the experience of living in a unique rural environment, in a town that has never changed significantly since 1800 until today.
The first country house, the two-bedroom Arcotti House, opened its doors at the end of July, while to make a reservation at the hotel you will have to wait until Easter 2020.
